We’re working on the design and implementation of several non-profit initiatives respectively aiming at:
1.) Supporting People Living with HIV to improve their quality of life - boosting the immune system, releasing stress and emotional trauma, managing pain and symptoms, improving sleep, improving memory, etc. Pierre-Etienne facilitates free weekly sessions for people living with HIV. 2.) Mobilizing hypnotherapists and holistic practitioners in community initiatives to promote mental and physical health at the individual and collective level, through the development of an online portal.
The organization First Medicines (http://firstmedicines.org/), headed by Timothy Trujillo (CH.t. – among many other talents), is a key partner and the inspiration behind not only some of these initiatives, but also for Hypnotherapy Without Borders’ very existence.
Since 2009, Pierre-Etienne has been the Arab States Coordinator for First Medicines. As part of this work, he organized and co-facilitated trainings provided by Timothy Trujillo to Field Hospital volunteers and medical staff in Tahrir square in Cairo, Egypt on basic knowledge of Critical Care Communication, as well as trainings on hypnotherapy for trauma recovery for practitioners.
